Job Description
Purpose of the Job
To provide leadership, management and development of an agreed portfolio of Norland Managed Services contracts, ensuring financial and operational commitments are met and exceeded.
Responsibilities
- Develop a portfolio of profitable contracts that deliver all contractual commitments and provide an exceptional level of service to the customer.
- Provide a healthy and safe working environment where both the clients’ and Company’s health and safety policies and processes are effectively implemented and reviewed as a priority. Ensure all staff is trained in the appropriate health & safety procedures.
- Ensure your team has the skills and motivation to carry out their roles to the best of their abilities by training, developing and mentoring direct reports and building a culture of continual development. This includes all staff attending the Company induction day and mandatory management and H&S training.
- Continually focus on developing the business through building customer relationships and ensuring that resources are able to manage this growth ie. through a robust but realistic succession plan.
- Ensure that opportunities for the development of existing contracts are exploited to deliver increased turnover and profitability. Ensure additional services and projects are always offered to the customer and that their total satisfaction leads to contracts never being lost.
- Be constantly visible and accessible to the team and to customers.
- Ensure all financial targets are met. Develop, understand and manage the financial plans for revenue and profit delivery and effectively manage WIP and debt.
- Promote, ‘live and breathe’ the core values and behaviours of Norland Managed Services.
- Ensure all staff are appraised annually and all managers are formally trained in the Norland appraisal process, and from this development plans put in place and followed through.
- Ensures that all customer sites are maintained to ‘Norland show-site’ standards or are actively being developed to achieve this standard.
- Encourage a culture of co-operation and team work, ensuring that staff are recognized and rewarded as appropriate through local mechanisms, the completion of bonus scorecards, supporting the Exceptional Awards and social activities.
- Ensure the production of a full monthly report to each customer and be able to present this in a professional and credible manner.
- Effectively communicate and implement business policies and processes.
- Work with other Operational managers to ensure the collaborative development of the business, effective teamworking, and support to colleagues.
- Create a culture of innovation.
- Ensure appropriate contract review, audit and control systems are in place to ensure statutory, policy and contractual commitments are met.
Accountabilities
- Reports to Business Unit Manager/Director.
- Line management responsibility for a team, primarily comprising contract managers and contract support staff across a portfolio of contracts.
- Financial responsibility for the delivery of Plan commitments for the contract portfolio.
Remuneration
Competitive salaries: £40,000 - £65,000 pa
depending on level of appointment.
Generous holiday and benefits package.
Car allowance: £5,340 pa.
